This authentic reproduction work jacket is made from 12.5oz Kurashiki denim, with historical patterns from the British Navy modified for a Japanese look.
Item Description
A faithful reproduction of a work jacket manufactured by an official supplier to the British Navy in the 1960s. The material has been changed from oil wax canvas for protection against the cold to 12.5 oz red-ear denim (produced in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture), improving breathability and comfort. The three-dimensional cut is based on the average body shape data of Japanese people, and shoulder width has been adjusted by -3cm and sleeve length by -2cm.
It inherits the historical details of the cross stitch reinforcement on the chest and the brass drawstring for sailors. The first wash processing creates a "sign of fading" and promises a rich taste with aging. It is the perfect piece for an adult retro style that can be used for anything from cafe hopping to light outdoor activities.
