Concept ｜design

This 2way coat was used as part of a double layered combat uniform. The design was intended to be worn over a wool vest or combat uniform to protect soldiers from the harsh weather in mountainous regions. Distinctive design features include a boxy and roomy silhouette, four large buttoned pockets on the front, a zippered hood with a high collar, and drawcords at the hood and hem.

This coat maintains the loose silhouette of the original with a relaxed fit at the sleeves and sides to recreate the outdoor look, while four large square pockets on the front add storage space and a stylish look.

The outer material is a cotton and nylon blend, which is dense yet dry to the touch, and provides a three-dimensional feel with a moderate weight that is both supple and comfortable.
