Item Description
This hand-dyed wide hanten is made of all-cotton slub-woven fabric and is hand-dyed and layered using ancient plant dyeing techniques to create a unique blue and coffee color. The blue hanten uses the knotweed indigo dyeing technique, which creates a dot tie-dye effect. There may be some color fading at first, so we recommend pairing it with a dark-colored inner layer. The coffee-colored hanten is hand-dyed with dye extracted from chestnut shells and decorated with hand-sashiko. Each hanten is washed with purified water more than 20 times to maintain color stability and prevent color fading. The loose cut design fits a variety of body types, and the hidden string on the placket adds ease of wear and uniqueness. Through hand dyeing, each hanten is unique and exudes a rich retro style and natural atmosphere.
