The design of this jacket is inspired by traditional pilot jackets, specifically the MA-1 type, originally designed for US Air Force and Navy aviators in the 1950s. The cuff design is intended to provide additional warmth. The inside of the jacket is bright orange and can be worn reversed in an emergency to facilitate search and rescue.
